The Beginning
hopnøsis began in August 2024 with a simple conviction: you shouldn’t have to choose between doing what’s good for you and enjoying it.
Somewhere along the way, we’re taught to lower our standards:
- To expect less.
- To accept the average so we’re not disappointed.
That’s never been me.
And if I compromised anywhere on this journey (this story would never be told), I wouldn’t just be diluting a product. I would be betraying myself, my principles, and the people this brand is built for.
hopnøsis is rooted in the idea that you deserve better. So I refused to offer anything less.
I obsessed over every detail — the flavour, the ingredients, the partners, the process, the way it feels in your hand and in your body. There are no shortcuts here. No box-ticking. No lessons ignored.
The Motivation
This business has been built intentionally and without compromise.
And that’s a promise I don’t take lightly.
In February 2025, I lost my mom.
My heart is still broken. But hopnøsis gave me somewhere to put my fire.
It gave me clarity when grief tried to quieten me. It gave my creativity somewhere to go when everything else felt heavy.
- This brand is personal.

- And one day, it will be a South African legacy brand for many.
This is the Un-Compromise™.
From the beginning, I knew what I wanted to create:
